Sunday, November 4, 2012

At its 9:45 am worship service this Sunday November 4, First Presbyterian Church of Rolla is celebrating the culmination of its Stewardship Consecration Program followed immediately by a luncheon in its Fellowship Hall.  Holy Communion will be observed.  The Guest Speaker is the Reverend Dick Menzel, the former Stated Clerk of John Calvin Presbytery.  Rev. Menzel will be preaching from the Scriptures: Isaiah 11:6 and Matthew 22:2, 36-40. The sermon title is, “And a Little Child Shall Teach Grandpa and Grandma.”  He will also speak during the luncheon to follow, a talk entitled “A Brief Introduction to an Amazing Presbyterian.”

On November 10, opening day of deer season, we will also host a breakfast from 8am until noon.  Everyone is welcome–hunters, non-hunters, family, friends, everyone!  There is no charge for the breakfast.

Email Problems RETURNED

We spoke too soon.  As soon as the email problem was fixed, it re-appeared.  If you need to reach anyone in the office, use Pastor Lee’s address for now, as his email appears to be working.  Hopefully this will be resolved by the end of the week, if not sooner.

Email Problems

Since late last week, the office administrator’s email address has had problems.  It is apparently receiving all messages (although how would we know if a message doesn’t get through?) but can only send messages sporadically.  We have a call in to Fidelity.
