  • We are still collecting for the One Great Hour of Sharing, which benefits Presbyterian Hunger Program, Presbyterian Committee on the Self-Development of People, and Presbyterian Disaster Assistance.
  • If you have any items for the Easter Basket of Hope, please bring them Sunday so that we can distribute them to GRACE, Russell House, and The Rolla Mission.
  • We have wrapped up our Lenten book study and are returning to our previous book, A is for Alabaster. This Wednesday at 6 pm, we will be discussing “K is for King Solomon.”
  • The Rolla Choral Arts Society will present “Kaleidoscope of Sound” their spring concerts on Saturday, April 26, at 7:00 p.m. and Sunday, April 27, at 3:00 p.m. in our sanctuary.

Reflections on Palm Sunday – Announcements, Bulletin, Live Stream for April 13, 2025

This week, we commemorate Jesus’s triumphant entry into Jerusalem, the start of his last week before his resurrection. Susan Murray will be preaching on Luke 19:28-40.

Wednesday, we will complete our Lenten book study.

Thursday, April 17, is Maundy Thursday. We will gather in the chapel for a service at 6 pm that will include communion, and then turn towards the darkness of Good Friday.

Next Sunday, April 20, is Easter. After worship, we will gather in the fellowship hall for brunch. Details to come.

This week, we wrap up our collection for the Easter Basket of Hope. This week’s item is personal hygiene products (toothbrushes, tooth paste, razors, deodorant, feminine hygiene products). If you have any other items from previous weeks, feel free to bring those as well.

We are also near the end of our collection for the One Great Hour of Sharing, which supports the Presbyterian Hunger Program, Presbyterian Committee on the Self-Development of People, and Presbyterian Disaster Assistance.

We are also collecting for the One Great Hour of Sharing, one of the four PC(USA) special offerings. Each gift supports efforts to relieve hunger through the Presbyterian Hunger Program, promote development through the Presbyterian Committee on the Self-Development of People and assist in areas of disaster through Presbyterian Disaster Assistance.

We have two active collections this Lenten season. We are filling our Easter Basket of Hope to divide among GRACE, Russell House, and The Rolla Mission. This week’s item is liquid dishwashing detergent. We are also collecting monetary donations for One Great Hour of Sharing, which supports the Presbyterian Hunger Program, Presbyterian Committee on the Self-Development of People, and Presbyterian Disaster Assistance.

Our Wednesday 6 pm book study continues through Lent in the sanctuary.

Next Friday, April 4, we will have a Game Night in the fellowship hall at 7 pm. Please join us! Feel free to bring a snack or game to share.

Who Is My Neighbor? Information for March 23, 2025

Due to the EF-2 tornado that struck Rolla on March 14, we were unable to worship together on March 16. Please join us this Sunday, March 23, for Susan Murray’s sermon, “Who Is My Neighbor?” based on Luke 10:25-37 and Matthew 22:34-40.

Because of the tornado damage to the schools, we are collecting school supplies as described in this FLYER. Please bring supplies ASAP so that students and teachers will have them when school resumes after spring break.

Each gift supports efforts to relieve hunger through the Presbyterian Hunger Program, promote development through the Presbyterian Committee on the Self-Development of People and assist in areas of disaster through Presbyterian Disaster Assistance. All three programs work in different ways to serve individuals and communities in need. Special envelopes will be placed on the table at the entrance of the church.

We are also filling our Easter Basket of Hope with items that will be divided among GRACE, Russell House, and The Rolla Mission. Because we missed last week, this week’s items are both toilet paper and laundry products.

This Sunday, we remember and celebrate Jesus’s Transfiguration. Jonathan Kimball’s sermon, “Who Is Jesus?” will be based on Luke 9:28-36.

We will gather on March 5 at 5:45 pm in the sanctuary to commemorate Ash Wednesday. We will have a brief service that includes the imposition of ashes. Afterwards, we will begin our Lenten study based on Turning Over Tables. The study will continue Wednesdays at 6 pm throughout Lent.

Mark your calendars also for Maundy Thursday, April 17, 6 pm, in the chapel.

Our First Friday Out gathering will be at Frida’s on March 7 at 6 pm.
