To celebrate Marie Wilson’s service to the church, there will be an open house for Marie Wilson on her official last day of work,Thursday, June 28, 2012. Members are invited to drop by the church office from 9:00 am. – 4:30 pm on that day. Cake and punch will be provided. (There was an earlier post with more details.)

Pastor Lee’s sermon, “Redemed or Self-Served?” is based on scriptures from 1 Samuel 15: 34-16: 13 and 2 Corinthians 5: 6-17. The all-church picnic will be at Ber Juan Park on Sunday, June 24 at 12:00 noon. The membership committee will provide table service, drinks and chicken. Bring dishes to share!
Marie Wilson Retiring
After serving our congregation for nearly 15 years, Marie Wilson has decided to retire at the end of June. We wish her the best in her retirement years. To show our appreciation for her years of dedicated service, we will be holding a reception during fellowship hour on June 24. Please join us at 11 am as we celebrate her support of the church.

Office Manager – Position Opening
First Presbyterian Church of Rolla is now hiring an Office Manager. This is a part-time position (25-30 hours/week; schedule TBD) with a salary range of $12/hr to $14/hr.
The purpose of this position is to maintain church records, manage accounts, and provide clerical/secretarial support for the congregation, pastor, and committees. Extensive computer and people skills are required.
Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or GED; supplemented by three years of experience in clerical, secretarial, or paralegal work; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requested skills and abilities for this job.

On this Day of Pentecost, Pastor Lee’s sermon, “Gift Helper” is based on scriptures from Psalm 104: 24-34 and Acts 2: 1-21. The Bell Choir will be performing several selections. The Choir Introit is Come Holy Spirit and the Anthem is For the Beauty of the Earth. There will be a carry in celebration to say farewell to Joe Senne as he moves to California. Nursery is provided during the service.
We are very excited about our upcoming Vacation Bible School on June 3 from 6-8 pm through Thursday, from 6-8 pm —- “SonRise National Park.” There will be lively songs, creative crafts, exciting games, Bible stories, and tasty snacks. Ages are 3 years old to 5th grade. Registration is at the door.

performing a senior vocal recital on Sunday, June 3 at 2:00 pm in the
Sanctuary. Everyone is invited to attend.
Our Vacation Bible School this summer starts on Sunday, June 3 from
6:00 – 8:00 pm, and concludes on Thursday, June 7. This year’s program
is SonRise National Park, a week of fun in the Son! Children will
participate in fun-filled activities. We will have a great time with
lively songs, creative crafts, exciting games, Bible stories and tasty
snacks – all of the things that make Vacation Bible School so much fun
