Because of the tornado damage to the schools, we are collecting school supplies as described in this FLYER. Please bring supplies ASAP so that students and teachers will have them when school resumes after spring break.
We have two other active collections right now. We are collecting financial donations for One Great Hour of Sharing, which is one of the four PCUSA Special Offerings. Each gift supports efforts to relieve hunger through the Presbyterian Hunger Program, promote development through the Presbyterian Committee on the Self-Development of People and assist in areas of disaster through Presbyterian Disaster Assistance. All three programs work in different ways to serve individuals and communities in need. Special envelopes will be placed on the table at the entrance of the church.
We are also filling our Easter Basket of Hope with items that will be divided among GRACE, Russell House, and The Rolla Mission. Because we missed last week, this week’s items are both toilet paper and laundry products.
In the wake of the tornado on March 14, we will not gather for worship on March 16, 2025. Instead, please view this short reflection on Matthew 6:25-34.
Due to power outages, debris in the parking lot, and damage around town, we will not be worshipping together on March 16. Please stay safe!
This Second Sunday in Lent, we are celebrating Mr. Rogers Day (March 20). Susan Murray will be preaching, “Who Is My Neighbor” based on Luke 10: 25-37 and Matthew 22: 34-40.
