The Peace & Global Witness Offering affirms that the peace of God, which is central to the gospel, starts with us. We are there to sow seeds of peace by addressing systems of injustice in our own communities and around the world. We will retain 25% of the money we collect to be used locally to support peacemaking initiatives that align with the needs of our community. This year we will be donating this amount to Russell House. Another 25% is allocated to mid-councils for regional peace and reconciliation efforts. The remaining 50% is directed to the Presbyterian Mission Agency. There are special envelopes on the table near the entrance to the sanctuary. This collection ends on October 6.
The Preschool is preparing for our Fall Family Festival on October 23 and class parties on October 31. They would welcome donations of individually wrapped snack cakes, candy or small novelties for prizes. If you prefer to make a cash donation, the staff will purchase needed items in bulk. Please have donations to the church office by October 17. Thank you for your support!
