Our ceremony honoring Armed Service and community protection workers is this Sunday, November 10. Please bring any memorabilia, photos etc. We will have tables for display. Remember  the wearing of any and all service uniforms is encouraged. Marked carnations will be distributed by reading of names, so be prepared to come forward and receive the flower for your designee if you are able. Extra flowers will be available if there is a need. Carnations not picked up during the service will stay in the office one week and after may be disposed or delivered to the Veterans home.

We will be having a free pancake breakfast on opening day of deer season, November 16, roughly 8am to noon.  Everyone is welcome.  Come as you are to enjoy fellowship over a simple meal!

Remember that we will be having a reception at the old church on Olive Street Saturday, October 19, 10 am – noon.  Hope to see everyone there!

We are excited about all the guest returning to sing with the choir on October 20th. Our lunch at noon will be an opportunity to show them hospitality and have fun visiting. Please check the sign-up list across from the office to help with the lunch and participate in the 150th in a  meaningful way. There is also a sign-up list for other events which need monetary support if you feel called to do that. Many folks have signed up for their portraits, but we are only about halfway to having it 100% participation.

Last night (October 5), we had a great party, but no bonfire due to the weather.  So, we’re going to do it again!  Next Saturday, October 12, at the Whitakers’ place, 5pm-8pm.  Please spread the word.  As before, bring lawn chairs, games, snacks to share, guitars, whatever you think is needed to make a good bonfire.  Here are the directions again:

The Whitakers’ house is on County Road 3160, east off Highway 72. Look for the power substation as you turn left. Go a little over a mile. House is 12001 on the left up a long driveway. There will be some balloons on the mailbox.
