Rolla Parks and Recreation Department has scheduled the 8th Annual Fish Fair for Sunday, June 2nd from 1-3 at the Ber Juan Lake.  Pastor John will be there and will help any of our children or youth fish.  For more information, contact Kristy Rich, Recreation Manager: 573-341-2386.

Vacation Bible School is scheduled for June 16 – 20 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm. Volunteers are welcome to assist with teaching, singing, food, crafts and recreation.  Contact Jan Roberts for more information at 364-2841 or robfam@fidnet.com.

Nursery Needs

The nursery is currently in need of donations for the children including construction paper (various sizes and colors), typing paper, Elmer’s glue, washable paints, coloring books/sheets, and lots of masking tape.  We also need small toy donations for ages 2 and under.  Any donations can be take to the nursery or left in the church office.

The Retired Presbyterian Ladies will meet for lunch on Monday, May 13, at 11:45 a.m. at Meramec Vineyards.  If you’d like to carpool, meet at the church parking lot at 11:25.

Circle V will meet on Tuesday, May 14 at noon at Kaprizio Restaurant.

Preschool Graduation is Thursday, May 16, 2013 at 6:30 p.m. in the Sanctuary.

RAMTA JR/SR High Recital will be May 14th at 7:00 p.m. in the Sanctuary.

The Church Picnic is scheduled for Sunday, May 19th at 11:30 a.m. at the Upper Schumann Park.  There is a sign up board outside the church office.

The title of Pastor John Oerter’s sermon for the week of May 05, 2013 is The Garden Blooms in the City based on scriptures from Revelation 21: 9-10, 22-27 and Revelation 22: 1-5.  The hymns for Sunday are Crown Him with Many Crowns, and Here, O Our Lord We See You Face to Face.

The third of our major, yearly, Faith-Celebrations is: PENTECOST.  Pentecost is considered the Birthday of the Church.  The Liturgical color is red, reminding us of the fire of the Holy Spirit.  So, for our worship on May 19th, feel free to wear RED as a way to ‘pray’ with your body and garb, as a way to remind us to allow the Holy Spirit to ‘set us on fire’ for our Master, Jesus, and His mission to transform the world.

Vacation Bible School is scheduled for June 16 – 20.

Presbyterian Women will hold their Spring Luncheon and Annual Meeting on May 11 at 11:30 am at the home of Fredi Zobrist.  The meeting is very important as it will determine the future of the PW in our church.  Please save the date and come.

Rolla Police Department will hold the Prescription Take Back in the church parking lot on Saturday, April 27, 2013 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.
