The title of Pastor John Oerter’s sermon for the week of April 14, 2013 is Jesus Sings Us the Blues based on scriptures from John 21:1-19.  The hymns for Sunday are Ye Servants of God, Your Master Proclaim, Canto de Esperanza, and Lord, I Want to Be a Christian.

Sunday school is held every Sunday at 11:00 am.  We offer a variety of classes for all age groups.

The Prescription Take Back program will be held on April 27, 2013 in the parking lot from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm by the Rolla Police Department.

The Rolla Choral Arts Society will hold their spring concert in the sanctuary on April 28 from 2:00 – 4:00 pm.

The women of the church are invited to meet in the Fellowship Hall on Thursday, April 18 at 9:00 am for a sewing day for making baby quilts to take to Festival of Sharing.

The Presbyterian Women will hold its Spring Luncheon and Annual Meeting on Saturday, May 11 at 11:30 am at the home of Fredi Zobrist.  Please plan to attend as this is a very important meeting as it will determine the future of the PW in our church.

Frances M. Wallen

Frances M. Wallen of Rolla passed away March 10, 2013 at the age of 88.  Survivors include her sons James W. Wallen II of Rolla and David Wallen and wife, Mary, of Rolla.  She was preceded in death by her husband, James W. Wallen in addition to her parents.

A memorial service for Mrs. Wallen will be held Saturday, March 23, 2013 at 11:00 am at the First Presbyterian Church of Rolla.  Reverend Gary Stratman will officiate; Mary Kwantes, pianist.

Memorials are suggested to the First Presbyterian Church of Rolla.  Cards are available at all James and Gahr locations.
