Season of Hope – Bulletin, Live Stream, and Announcements for December 3, 2023

Let us worship together this First Sunday of Advent to prepare for Christ coming into our hearts. Susan Murray will be preaching, “Season of Hope,” based on Mark 13:24 – 37.

We will hold a congregational meeting after worship on December 10 for the purpose of electing officers. More details in the newsletter.

Two weeks from now, lots will be happening in our church (again, please refer to the newsletter):

  • December 16 at 10 am, the Presbyterian Women are hosting Coffee, Tea, and Cookies.
  • December 16 at 7 pm and December 17 at 3 pm, the Rolla Choral Arts Society will hold its concert, Season of Light, in the sanctuary. Tickets are $10, in advance or at the door.
  • December 17 in worship, the Chancel Choir will present its cantata, Festival of Lessons and Carols by Jonathan Willcocks.
  • December 17 after worship, we will hold a carry-in luncheon in the fellowship hall. All are welcome to stay.

Also, mark your calendars for our Christmas Eve candlelight service, Sunday, December 24, at 6 pm.

  • This Sunday will conclude the Peace & Global Witness special offering. The Peace & Global Witness Offering encourages the church to cast off anxiety and fear, discord and division, and embrace our God’s mission of reconciliation to those around the corner and around the world.
  • There will be a picnic at Lions Club Pavilion #1 on September 30 at 5:00 pm. Hot dogs and water will be provided. Feel free to bring an item to share, your favorite drink, or meat to throw on the grill.
