• The Chancel Choir has begun rehearsals, Wednesdays at 7 pm. All singers are welcome to join this important part of our worship.
• First Friday Out will be September 6 at 6 pm at Koi. Contact Javier by this Sunday for reservations.
• We will start the Fall Bible Study on Wednesday, Sep 11th, at 6 PM. The book for our Fall series is “A Is for Alabaster” by Anna Carter Florence. The paperback book is available from several book websites, but the best-listed price is currently from the PCUSA store, as it is on sale for $13. We will discuss the lesson “A is for Abigail” on Sep 11th, and “A is for Alabaster” on Sep 18th. The Fall Bible Study series will have 12 lessons and end on Wednesday, Dec 4th.

This week, Jonathan Kimball will be preaching on John 6:56-69, “Don’t Fear the Truth.” Let us worship together Sunday at 9:45.

• On Saturday, August 24, we are hosting a disc golf tournament at 9:30 am. Flyer: 2024 FPC Disc Golf Tournament – Flyer. Registration closes Friday, 8/23, at 5 pm.

• The chancel choir will be returning from its summer hiatus soon. Rehearsals begin August 28 at 7 pm and continue every Wednesday. The choir will first participate in worship on September 8. All singers welcome!

Also this Sunday, we are hosting a John Calvin Presbytery event at 4:00 that will start with a commissioning service for Jonathan Kimball. Please join us as he becomes a commissioned ruling elder to lead our church. The service will be followed by an education time led by Paul Grier, “Discovering Joy through Grace, Gifts, and Generosity”. • We will also be participating in GRACE for Kids, Christmas in July through the month of July. We were assigned toys for the littlest kids, zero to three years. There is a Christmas box at the entrance to the sanctuary.

• There is a sign-up sheet in the sanctuary for a carry-in dinner scheduled for July 19. After dinner, some of us will attend “Clue” at the Ozark Actors Theater. Everyone is responsible for their own tickets. You are welcome to join us for dinner whether or not you decide to go to the play.
