The float trip is on! We will be floating Cedar Grove to Akers Ferry. We will meet at the church at 8:15 am on Saturday, August 25. As of this writing, confirmed attendees are: Jonathan, Jesse, Carol B., Eleanor, Lou Ellen, and Brett. I predict that we will be back between 4:00 and 5:00 pm based on the distance of the float and of the drive. If anyone else would like to join us, please let Jonathan know ASAP.

Common Call is jointly sponsored by First Presbyterian, Hope Lutheran (ELCA), and Christ Episcopal Church. Our first meeting is August 26 at 6 pm at Christ Episcopal Church. We are planning on floating the Current River, most likely Cedar Grove to Akers Ferry, on August 25.  Details TBD based on interests.  Options include canoe, kayak, or inner tube, understanding that tubes are much slower than the others.  Please let Jonathan Kimball know if you want to go, and what type of vessel you want.  If you want to canoe but don’t have a partner yet, don’t worry–we’ll work that out.
