A Message from Jim & Nancy Horne

Having gotten acquainted with several members of Rolla Presbyterian Church we thought we should let all know that all though warned of a pending evacuation because of the Valley Fire we are safe.  The fire progress was stopped 4-5 miles from our home.  Unfortunately one family in our church lived in Cobb, CA and lost everything they could not quickly stuff in their car.  Several of my pre-retirement employer, Calpine, lived in Cobb & Middletown, CA – they lost everything.  As of today the count of residences, apartments and homes, is 888 that were destroyed.  Our church here, Kelseyville Presbyterian Church, is one of the many local churches, organizations and businesses involved in assisting the recovery efforts (fire is only 50% contained at over 72,000 acres).,  This fire is the worst of five that hit Lake County this summer.

For news articles and photos see the web site for the Santa Rosa Press Democrat.

Look forward to seeing you in November.

Sermon Podcast – September 6, 2015 – Hospitality for Life

Preached by Rev. Lou Ellen Hartley. Based on Psalm 125, Mark 7:24-37 and James 2:1-17.

New church directories and brochures

Directories are in each officer and/or employee’s folder.  Others are on the table outside the office for distribution.

Brochures are printed and placed on table in sanctuary, pamphlet holders downstairs from office and area going into the fellowship hall.

I also replaced the visitor bags with up to date brochures.
