The First Presbyterian Church will be presenting their cantata, Savior of the Nations, Come! by Michael Burkhardt under the direction of Jeff Sandquist.

The all church Christmas dinner will follow the cantata in the Fellowship Hall.  Everyone is invited.  Feel free to bring a covered dish and join us.

The Yarning for God group made their first delivery to Russell House.  It contained 18 hats, 6 scarves, 4 sets of mittens, 3 quilts, 3 blankets, and 1 cowl set.  These will be distributed to the women and children who are at the domestic violence shelter.  The group will continue to make more hand-made items.  All are welcome to join us after worship in the Fellowship Hall and on the 2nd & 4th Mondays in the Sadler Lounge at 7:00 pm. for fellowship and crafting. The items made during these times do NOT have to be given away.  If you want to visit but not work that is fine too.  Items made by any technique are welcome and you can donate items made at home.  We also accept donations of yarn.

The title of Pastor John Oerter’s sermon for the week of December 7, 2014 is Walking in Circles based on scriptures from Mark 1: 1 – 8.  The hymns for Sunday are Come, Thou Long-Expected Jesus and When I Survey the Wondrous Cross.

Patricia Ann Joslin, 77, of Rolla, MO passed away at 1 am November 28, 2014.

A service for Patricia will be held at the First Presbyterian Church of Rolla, Saturday, December 6 at 2 pm.

The title of Pastor John Oerter’s sermon for the week of November 30, 2014 is The Last Lecture of Jesus, Messiah based on scriptures from Mark 13: 24 – 37.  The hymns for Sunday are O Come, O Come, Emmanuel; My Lord! What a Morning and Awake, My Soul, and with the Sun.

Our annual Cookie Walk/Bake sale will be Saturday, December 6 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.  Lunch will also be offered.
