We are hosting John Calvin Presbytery for their May 22nd meeting.

Many of you have are already working on the various tasks we will need to accomplish a warm welcome to our Presbytery Folks and to host a smoothly running meeting.  If you are willing to help with preparation, greeting or support please let Nanette know at the office, or Britt at (573) 578-0081

Mother’s Day Appeal from Russell House

We hope you will be able to join your neighbors in supporting this year’s Mother’s Day Appeal.

Russell House has responded to the need of a safe place for women and their children as they begin to shape a new life.  Over the years:

• We have offered counsel and support to women as they re-establish their identity as a person of worth and value,
• We have built a House (honoring former Rolla physician, Dr. Barbara Russell) that provides the shelter these women and children seek, so that we can provide facilities and support for 62 victims, and
• We have reached out to provide services to those in our neighboring counties of Crawford, Dent and Maries.

Yet, the need does not diminish.  There are still victims in need.

An offering may be received either on Mother’s Day, May 11^th this year, or at your convenience.   Please contact (573) 364-0579 for more information or to request offering envelopes.

Support for these women and children is only possible because of the generosity and commitment from donors like you who care about the health and well-being of our sisters, daughters, nieces, aunts, grandmothers and friends.

If you would like to make a donation, please make checks payable to FPCR and please reference “Russell House” in memo.

Our inaugural FIRED UP! service went well this evening.  Six people came out in the storm to worship God.  Next week (May 1), we will be meeting in the chapel due to a schedule conflict.  The service starts around 6:30 and lasts about a half hour, and is very informal with a focus on contemporary music.  Hope to see you there!
