Upcoming Events:  Church float trip on the Big Piney will be August 24; Children’s Swim Party at the Cottingham’s 1:30 – 4:00 pm on August 25; Sunday School kick-off September 8; Adult class “Honoring God” from the book of Timothy will be in the Journey classroom, children 11 and up in the Sadler Lounge, and children 10 and under in the upstairs Sunday School classroom.

Mid-year financial statements have been prepared and are available for pickup on the table outside the church office.

Sunday, August 25:  Children’s Sunday School Swim Party at the Cottingham’s house, 1:30 – 4:00 pm.  Contact Susan Murray for more information.

Sunday, September 08:  Sunday School kick-off.  Adult class on “Honoring God” from the Book of Timothy in the Journey classroom will be taught by Pastor John.  Series will run from September 08 – October 13.

Children eleven and up in the Sadler Lounge and children 10 and under in upstairs Sunday School classroom.

There will not be Sunday School on October 20 due to other scheduled events.

Pastor John will teach an ‘Inquiries Class’ from October 27 – November 17 on the Presbyterian history and beliefs.

Jan Roberts will begin teaching a class from Yancey’s book, “Jesus We Never Knew” on November 24.

Join in and float the Big Piney on August 24th.  There is a sign up board posted in the hall across from the office where you can record how many will be in your party and what type of river craft you will be using.

The engraved memorial bricks are on display on the table in the hall outside the office.  A dedication service will be held on All Saints Day on November 3.

Plans are underway for the Presbyterian Women’s Rummage Sale to be held on October 5.

Continue to share stories and ideas with Mary Kwantes for inclusion in our 150^th anniversary celebration.  We are still searching for old pictorial directories.  The Committee will honor 50+ year members at a special ceremony.  If you are or know of someone who meets this criteria, please contact Betti Jo in the office as she will maintain a master list.

There are still two Disaster Buckets to be filled and returned by August 4, 2013.

You may place your small bottles of Elmer’s school glue in a box in the hallway across from the office for the Back to School Fair on Wednesday, August 7.
