The title of Reverend Gary Stratman’s sermon for the week of March 17, 2013 is “Why?” based on scriptures from Psalm 22:1-8 and Mark 15:32-34. The hymns for Sunday are O Sacred Head, Now Wounded; Lord, Why Have You Forsaken Me; and My Faith Looks Up to Thee.

Join us for the final Lenten Luncheon/Service on Thursday, March 21 at 11:45 am. Doctor Mark Johnson, former pastor of Salem Avenue Baptist Church will be the speaker. Please call the church office (364-3852) by Wednesday for reservations.
Easter early service will be at 8 am in the Fellowship Hall followed by breakfast at 8:30. Everyone is welcome. Please sign up your family. If you care to bring food, there is a sign-up sheet across from the office. Regular worship service will follow at 9:45 am.

A memorial service will be held for Frances Wallen at 11:00 am on Saturday, March 23 at the First Presbyterian Church. Rev. Gary Stratman will officiate.

The game is on! Cardinals vs Royals on 29 May. Cost of bus, tickets, and a sack lunch is an amazingly low $30 a person. Please see Britt, Nancy Marlow, Betti Jo or Mary Kwantes about reservations. Bus will leave the church at 4:15 for the 7:15 game. Bring a friend and sign up early. Tickets will go fast. And for those of you have gone before there are no tornadoes in the forecast.
