- The John Calvin Presbytery continues to offer the Covid Emergency Grant. The grant offers to match $2 for every $1 raised up to $2,500. We are grateful for your generosity in the past. During October and November, we are asking for your help again with donations to go to Russell House.
- The JCPDA is requesting Blue Bucket Brigade donations. Since gathering the items and getting them to Springfield continues to be difficult, Outreach Committee is asking for monetary donations again this year. Thank you in advance for your generosity.
Our next Christian ed gathering on Thursday, October 14, will be a discussion of a reading titled, “Supreme Court Justices Ask Not to Be Viewed as Politicians,” from The Wired Word. Contact Jonathan for the Zoom link and reading.

Bonfire! This Friday!
Wow, the weather looks great for our bonfire at Whitakers this Friday, Oct 1! (Remember, First Friday social.) Please bring chairs, your own food, or hot dogs to roast, and your drink choice. We will have plates, napkins, cutlery, buns, and condiments. You may also bring a dish to share if you want. Come about 5 or later. We will cook around 6. Bring campfire instruments if you want to share music. Contact Britt Whitaker for questions.
