Reminder – Christian Education Thursday at 7 pm

Just a quick reminder that our new Christian ed discussion is now Thursdays at 7 pm on Zoom. We’re using The Wired Word. Each week is a standalone discussion of something in the news. This week, we’re using the Texas abortion law as a way to frame our discussion about politics and religion: How should a Christian approach the political public square?

If you have not received the Zoom link or the reading, please contact Jonathan Kimball.

We will be celebrating communion. If you choose to worship remotely, please gather communion elements before the live stream begins. You should also have the bulletin handy in case some of the responses are not streamed.

On Tuesdays at 7 pm, we will be having Christian education using The Wired Word. If you would like to participate, please email Jonathan Kimball for details.

Live Streaming Works!

Today we had our first successful live stream! Many thanks to Javier Valentin-Sivico, Steve Skelton, and especially Jeff Sandquist for helping me (Jonathan Kimball) get things installed. There is still some room for improvement, but it is functional. Please bear with us as we fix some of the audio issues. There will also be a learning curve for the operators, to switch sources at the appropriate time.

Every Friday when I post the bulletin, I will also post the link to the live stream. It will be set to begin at 9:35 am, though the stream may not go fully live until closer to the actual worship time (9:45). Keep the bulletin handy in case some of the liturgy is not broadcast.

After the service ends, the streamed recording will automatically be published, using the same link. So if you are unable to join us live, you can watch it at your leisure. Here is this week’s recording:

One final note: If you subscribe to our YouTube channel, you can receive notifications when we go live.

Live Streaming Coming Soon!

With the help of a grant from John Calvin Presbytery, we are setting up live streaming for Sunday worship. Everything should be in place sometime in September. Today, while trying things out, a flurry of messages was automatically sent out. Apologies for any confusion.
